The Aiguille en fête show, a not-to-be-missed event for sewing, knitting and embroidery enthusiasts, has gradually joined the Créations & savoir-faire show universe.
Today, the space Needle and thread continues the spirit of this needle fair, bringing together creative communities around textile-related practices. Visitors can discover all the disciplines involved in the art of thread: contemporary embroidery, patchwork, knitting, crochet, sewing and weaving.
This universe has become one of the pillars of the show dedicated to DIY and creative hobbies, where beginners and experts come to share their passion and discover new inspirations.


The couture and thread art show at Porte de Versailles
Every year, Créations & savoir-faire transforms the Porte de Versailles into a veritable playground for textile design enthusiasts.
In the Thread and Needle area, visitors could find :
- specialist sewing and knitting brands

- textile designers and craftsmen

This universe is reminiscent of the spirit of the salon couture and the salon du tricot Porte de Versailles, where yarn becomes a means of artistic and creative expression.

A look back at ID•FIL, inaugurated in 2025
At the 2025 edition, Créations & savoir-faire inaugurated a brand new space:ID•FIL, entirely dedicated to textile-related know-how.
This space has been conceived as a place of transmission and discovery around traditional wire techniques.
Designers, craftspeople and enthusiasts came together to share their inspirations and promote the excellence of the art of yarn, between textile heritage and contemporary creation.
