Facilities, transport, energy, catering... discover some good practices to put in place before and during your participation to help improve our collective impact. Thank you in advance for your support.

Eco-actions to adopt!

Climate change is one of the major issues of our time. Our responsibility, as event organisers and community leaders, is to play our part in this transformation by limiting the environmental impact of our trade shows and conferences.

But for this ambition to become a success, it must be supported collectively. That's why we're inviting you, as exhibitors, to take action and reduce your environmental footprint by adopting simple and effective measures.

The responsible exhibitor's gestures

BEFORE

Man stacking recycling blocks

I adopt the 4Rs technique

  • REFUSE what I don't need
  • REDUCE what I need
  • REUSE what I already have
  • RECYCLE what I couldn't refuse, reduce or reuse

Goodies and brochures: really useful?

If so, opt for local, French or European production with minimal carbon impact (little or no individual packaging, plastic wrapping, etc.). For printing (brochures, catalogues, flyers, etc.): as little as possible and as eco-designed as possible (digital, few images, no flatwork, etc.).

I eco-design my stand

  • Choose a pre-equipped or modular stand
  • Or brief your decorator along these lines (reuse, eco-design, circular economy)
  • Open up! Fewer partitions mean fewer materials used, and better visibility for your stand in the aisles!

I remain accessible to all types of mobility

Think about adapting your spaces accordingly

  • Ramp
  • Floor height
  • Audiovisual terminals accessible ...

local service providers

I select local service providers

In order to limit the emissions linked to transporting the items I use at the show.

DURING

Less disposable, less waste

The best waste is the waste we don't produce.

For the inevitable? Sort them according to the instructions (paper/cardboard, glass, plastic, wood, metal, bio-waste, etc.). When it comes to food waste, let's reduce it by sharing the surplus with our teams or donating it to a charity.

Wifi rather than 4G or 5G

If the venue has WiFi, it's best to use it free of charge.

1 Gigabyte transmitted is up to 20 times more impactful with 4G than with Wifi or ADSL*.

I save energy

Several possible solutions

Switch off your equipment when you leave the stand (tip: use a power strip to switch off with a single button), opt for LED lighting, hire equipment with an excellent energy performance rating (A+)...

Optimising deliveries

Think about grouping the deliveries you need to reduce the carbon impact of transport.

I encourage my teams to travel lighter (in CO2)

Whether by soft transport (walking, cycling), public transport (train, metro, tramway...), car-sharing...

I'm banning plastic bottles

Let's give preference to carafes on the stand and water bottles to fill rather than water fountains for the teams.

I encourage recovery

Recover the elements of the stand (scenography, furniture, signage, plants, goodies...) to reuse them next year.

You don't need it any more?

I explain, I raise awareness!

Explain your responsible approach to your visitors, your teams and your partners, and communicate the benefits!
