Step by step:

  • Using the 5 mm crochet hook and an initial ball of cotton, start by making a magic ring.
  • Turn 1: do 6ms in the magic ring (6m)
  • Round 2: 1 aug in each m of the previous round (12m) Place a marker ring on the last stitch of the round.
  • Round 3: *1 aug, 1 ms* repeat a total of 6 times (18m)
  • Round 4: *1 aug, 2 ms* repeat 6 times in total (24m)
  • Round 5: *1 aug, 3 ms* repeat a total of 6 times (30m)
  • Round 6: *1 aug, 4 ms* repeat 6 times in total (36m)

Finally, cut your 2 leather strips to the desired size between 70 and 90 cm and use the perforator to make a hole at 1.25 cm, 2.5 cm and 3.75 cm from the end, at both ends.

Locate the centre of the bag and place a mark 10 cm either side of it. Secure the handles with the rivets using a hammer or mallet, while protecting your work surface.
