To match the atmosphere, we're going for the handmade country wedding decor: raffia, hessian, reclaimed wood, wheat ears, moss, ferns, small fresh or dried flowers... We're using glass jars, bottles, vintage vases, wicker baskets, crates... and we're banking on elements that you can make yourself! Eco-responsible, economical and 100% personalised decoration.
Here's a tip: to avoid an astronomical floral budget, opt for local flowers from a nursery. Some even suggest you go and pick them yourself. You can then create your own table bouquets, bridal bouquets, decorative sprays and boutonnieres...

Your bridal bouquet
Make your country wedding bouquet yourself! A must for acountry wedding decoration, country flowers are everywhere: in bouquets, boutonnieres, wreaths, centrepieces, place cards... For a country wedding bouquet, go for simple, airy flowers: gypsophila, camomile, rice flowers...
Assemble them by crossing the stems as you go along, in a circle to create a round, generous bouquet. Secure all the stems with green florist's tape. Hide this adhesive with a few turns of raffia, a pretty ribbon or a piece of bridal veil... Perfect for a country chic wedding.
Chairs with flowers

Bunch of benches
To decorate church pews or town hall chairs, hang a small glass yoghurt pot on them with jute string. Fill with a little water and slip in a few sprigs of gypsophila. If gypsophila isn't in season for your wedding, replace it with small, airy country flowers or, on the contrary, a large flower to be placed on its own in each pot, like a beautiful hydrangea. A do-it-yourself country wedding decoration that's as simple as it is elegant!

A poetic, country-style alternative to the traditional embroidered wedding ring cushion: fill a small glass box with woodland moss. Gently place the wedding rings on top. Decorate the lid of the box with your initials drawn with a white Posca marker. An original idea in the spirit of a country-themed wedding.

To celebrate the bride and groom as they leave the church or town hall, prepare some recycled paper cones and fill them with rose petals, lavender seeds, rice, etc. Place them in two large baskets and ask the children to distribute them to everyone so they can throw them at the bride and groom. A poetic idea for your country wedding decoration.

Create an arch with 3 planks of salvaged wood. Make sure it stays in place by adding support brackets to the back of the posts if necessary. Create an arrangement of flowers and branches. Attach this bouquet to one of the corners of the arch. Cover the rest of the planks with a voile wrapped around the planks. Plant a "souvenir photo" sign next to it so that every guest can come and immortalise the big day under the arch. The perfect photo booth for a country-style, chic and friendly wedding!

For a country honeymoon
Here's an original idea for creating an urn for guests who want to take part in your honeymoon. In a small cardboard suitcase, place a slotted box so that everyone can slip in a note, a ticket... then fill the box and the inside of the suitcase with a carpet of wild flowers.
To create this carpet of flowers, place florist's foam soaked in water on small trays that fit into the suitcase. Place the trays in the case on either side of the urn and prick the flowers into the moss.
If you opt for dried flowers, there's no need for a tray. You can use florist's foam for dried flowers, which does not need to be moistened. Ideal for a country wedding decor.
Floral centrepieces
In handmade country wedding decor, we often place 3 vases per table, with different heights, in jars, bottles or cups. The centre tables are garnished with field flowers for a natural country feel.
If you opt for long banquet tables, place groups of vases regularly on the tables, about every 6 places, to give the table a rhythm. For containers, you can easily find pretty oil and vinegar bottles, glass yoghurt pots, jam jars... but also teapots and tea cups that you've come across...

Table numbers
Flower menus and place cards
If you're seating your guests, calligraph their first names in your best handwriting on small, thick white pieces of paper. Tie each napkin with raffia or ribbon. Slide the calligraphy card and a pretty eucalyptus branch into this link. Add a card with the menu for a pretty country wedding table decoration.
