Artesane, a school for learning and training in traditional crafts
Sewing, embroidery, pattern-making, knitting… Artesane was founded on a simple idea: to make these skills accessible through online courses, whilst maintaining the high standards required to learn them.
From discovering a new technique to preparing for professional qualifications, the school supports students with a range of backgrounds and levels of experience. An approach that allows everyone to progress at their own pace, from the comfort of their own home.
At Créations & savoir-faire, this passing on of skills takes a more direct form: over five days, visitors will be able to meet the Artesane team, find out about their training courses at their stand and watch demonstrations of craftsmanship in the ID•FIL area.
What can you find at the Artesane stand?
The Artesane stand offers visitors the chance to discover the kits, which combine materials and video tutorials centred around a creative project.
A little tweed jacket, gold embroidery and beads, jeans… each kit contains both the materials you need and a video tutorial to help you complete the project.
For those wishing to develop their sewing skills further, Artesane will also be presenting its books dedicated to preparing for the CAP in Tailoring and the CAP in Soft Fabrics.
The team will be on hand throughout the exhibition to answer visitors’ questions and outline the various training options available, in particular the distance learning degree programmes.

Artesane is taking charge of the ID•FIL space for the 30th edition of Créations & savoir-faire!

This is one of the new features of this 30th edition: Artesane is curating the full programme for the ID•FIL space, situated at the heart of the Fil & Aiguille district.
Over five days, from 18 to 22 November, professionals, designers and craftspeople will take turns to share their skills and techniques with visitors.
The programme allows you to move from one craft to another: gold embroidery, bobbin lace, tweed weaving, Pojagi, micro-macramé, Lunéville crochet embroidery, as well as embroidery machines, overlockers and sewing machine maintenance.
What’s the point? To be able to observe a process up close, ask questions and discover how a professional works with a particular material or technique.
Whether you’re simply curious, a regular practitioner or a keen enthusiast of sewing and embroidery, the programme allows you to tailor your visit to suit your interests.
Admission to the demonstrations is free and no booking is required.
Come and meet Artesane at the Créations & savoir-faire fair, from 18 to 22 November 2026, and be inspired to unleash your creativity and bring out the beauty of craftsmanship!
